We carefully check spelling, grammar, and style to ensure that your document—from technical papers to corporate materials to websites—is clear, readable, and error-free. And if you are heading for final printing, we will also take care of the final pre-press check.
We proofread texts in Czech, Slovak, English, German, Ukrainian, and other languages. Foreign-language texts are always edited by professional native speakers, while Czech texts are handled by experienced Czech language specialists. You can send us various formats – .doc, .pdf, .xls, and less standard formats such as .odt, .ppt, and .html. We usually proofread websites directly in content management systems. Depending on the format, scope, and language, we will usually deliver the finished proofreading within three business days, or within an express deadline upon agreement
This is a basic type of proofreading that primarily involves checking for typos and grammatical errors, including punctuation. In addition, it also corrects the most basic stylistic inaccuracies.
It includes the above-mentioned elements of spelling correction, but also focuses on the euphony and readability of the entire text. Word order is adjusted, word choice is adapted to the purpose of the written expression, the consistency of the terms used is harmonized, and redundant words are eliminated where necessary.
It serves as a supplementary correction to the first reading. It is applied after the text has been converted into a graphic form or PDF file prior to printing. It mainly removes incorrect formatting, line breaks, inappropriate words, and characters at the ends of lines.

We reserve the right to refuse proofreading orders if the text is machine-translated or otherwise of poor quality. Such texts usually cannot be corrected and need to be completely rewritten or translated.
We can proofread more than 40 languages. We can provide proofreading by native speakers of major European languages, as well as less common languages such as Finnish, Arabic, and Korean. Proofreading in Czech is a matter of course.
Yes, we can quote a price for proofreading immediately. The main criterion for determining the price is the length of the text provided. We count the number of characters, known as standard pages, with 1 standard page being 1,800 characters including spaces. The price for proofreading 1 standard page then varies depending on the language and format in which we receive the text. An editable format (e.g., .doc) is ideal for our work and therefore the cheapest. A higher price will be set, for example, for handwritten, poorly legible documents. To give you a better idea, we offer the option of a preliminary, non-binding calculation.
We will begin proofreading immediately after receiving your deposit. The standard turnaround time is 3 working days, with an average text volume of 20 standard pages per day. For longer texts, the turnaround time may increase proportionally. Conversely, we also offer express turnaround times. For turnaround within 2 business days, the express surcharge is 30% of the price; for turnaround by the next day, it is 50%. If you need the translation on the same day, the surcharge is 100%.
Don’t worry. Document handling is confidential in accordance with GDPR regulations, and this commitment is also included in our terms and conditions. If you request it, we can enter into a confidentiality agreement.
Translations done using free online tools are often of poor quality. Some words may be used incorrectly, and the sentence structure may be awkward and incomprehensible. This means that the proofreader ultimately has more work to do than with a direct translation. We therefore reserve the right to refuse to proofread such texts.
